Re: Yet another beginner ATI GPU "no start" issue

Isn't that last crash kinda obvious? My logic would say: http://3.14.by/files/brook_test_64.zip Haven't tested if it exists though :P A helpful idea, but the suggested file does not exist in the folder tree. The release 64 bit version had an issue perhaps Bars will look into sometime, trying the 32...

Re: Yet another beginner ATI GPU "no start" issue

I see the issue... You might want to find later AMD beta, it should be fine with this issue: http://3.14.by/files/brook_test_32.zip Oops, the 32 bit beta crashes on my 64bit machine. I tried multiple times, with reboot between each. Here is all the info I could collect: BrookBeta32 Crash Problem si...

Re: Yet another beginner ATI GPU "no start" issue

BarsWF_SSE2_x64.exe is a CPU only version. You need to download AMD's one. This is the second issue I mentioned earlier. The Brook application crashes here if I use the options "-c 0aA~" but it runs fine if I delete any one of the 4 options and only use 3 of them. Has this been seen before? This is...

Re: Yet another beginner ATI GPU "no start" issue

BarsWF_SSE2_x64.exe is a CPU only version. You need to download AMD's one. Ahh..yes, it's obvious now. I was thinking AMD = CPU, not ATI = GPU when I looked at the Brook option. It works now, thanks for the clarification. Now I must add another item to this thread, maybe it needs to be a new topic,...

Re: Yet another beginner ATI GPU "no start" issue

I re-installed the Vista x64 8.12 driver over the factory driver a 2nd time and verified the running softwares below. Still no joy.

Re: Where do I find AMDCALCL.DLL

Damn, right, no SSE2 support I guess :-) Sure, the old system runs an 2600XT is AGP running on an year 2003 nVidia nForce2 AthlonXP 2500+ While I plan on a new system, I do not have a better one yet. I am well aware that many other people have superior equipment, and this is good. My next one will ...

Re: Where do I find AMDCALCL.DLL

Looks like I have to remove HD 2xxx from possibly supported list. Noone yet was able to run it on HD 2xxx :-( That is unfortunate news. In all other ways, the 2600XT AGP running on an nForce2 FN41 motherboard is doing well. Since I will be needing to upgrade soon, what is your perspective on ...

Re: Where do I find AMDCALCL.DLL

Try 8.12 drivers Try this version : http://3.14.by/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=174 I spent several hours finding the information on how to modify the device list of the ATI driver installer to include my 2600XT AGP. Finally it was installed, then I ran both versions of your application and the same r...

Re: Where do I find AMDCALCL.DLL

It didn't work for my 2600XT 512MB AGP card installed with DDR4 running default settings in XP PRO SP2, and I suspect I am the only one on this forum using the AGP version with the 9.4 Catalyst Suite AGP Hotfix. My AGP 2600XT has video BIOS of 07/13/07 listing Catalyst 8.600.0.0 in my PC Wizard 2008...
