Re: Computing project - How goes?
I think the main reason that you don't have a solid answer, it is because although Michail knows how he want it to be, everything is subject to changes during the development phase. Right now he is finishing a version for internal use only. I am providing him access to my CUDA cluster in the next fe...

Re: How to use BarsWF for Windows SAM passwords?
Is that really true, that you only need the second 32-digit hash-part of the PWDUMP-Output, or do you need both passwords for both hashes and have to combine them? As I don't own a "newer" Graphic Card, I would like to have a SSE2-Version of NTLM-BarsWF (time isn't a matter for me...) Correct. Only...

Re: How high can you get
Basicaly the gt200 serie is only a small upgrade over the previous serie (9xxx), only more SPs. Which was only a small upgrade (in therms of technology) over the 8xxx, in some cases they even used the same processor from the 8xxx serie on some 9xxx cards. They will release new cards with new technol...

Re: How high can you get
Update: Could you write your config? PSU and motherboard especially. Right now I am using two 800W PSUs. One good 1200W PSU should be enough. The 800W PSU was just too cheap on newegg. :) motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16813130136 It's the MSI K9A2 Platinum. It com...

You can test runtime voltage/temp/etc with GPU-z. I used Nibitor before to change clocks. I will get some tests going. Thank you.

Re: How high can you get
BTW, for these building massive GPU systems and worried about power consumption, I had some tested with 4870 under lowered voltage: 0.85v: 450Mhz 10W consumption 0.9v: 500Mhz 0.95v: 560Mhz ~30W consumption So, 4x4870x2 at 0.95 would eat just 240W at 0.95v, which is not a killer. Actually, power con...

Re: How high can you get
I think we reversed like, 1 step. I will actually see if I can do that today. That extra speed on ntlm would help me.
I will post all the specs of the machine later today.

Nope, that's nowhere near the record. http://blog.red-database-security.com/2008/12/08/md5-bruteforcer-barswf 3611.81 MHash/sec :o Actually, I need to update that screenshot with the new values we got after a few optimizations on the software and the hardware. Updated the cooling system and did som...

Re: Request: NT Hash (actually MD4)
I know you guys are excited about the ATI port of BarsWF, but here is something to have some fun while we wait for Michail. If there is demand for a 32-bit version I will post it also. I don't have the 32-bits SDK/Tools available right now to build the .exe, but I can solve that later. Remember to p...

I just saw that "Extreme GPU Bruteforcer" as implemented unix des too, but seem slow... are you getting the same problem or it's just him code?
Thank you a lot for your work
Do you have any benchmark on that one, so I can compare?

Just a status update.
Working for the simplest cases:

Few more days to finish the release and do some otimizations.

Re: Request: NT Hash (actually MD4)
After some tests, I gave up on the LM version. It doesn't make sense at all. Right now I can crack any LM hash in less than 15 minutes, using RainbowTables. Even 14 character passwords (double LM hashs), considering all the keyboard charset, can be cracked under 15 minutes using a regular desktop c...

Re: AMD port microblog :-)
Did you read the link I posted at all? "written in CTM" means exact that. CAL is a natural evolution to CTM. If you know what CTM is you know that CTM was the name of the first version of the API, which was tied too close to hardware, but not close enough. CTM has evolved into two pieces: HAL and CA...

Re: Request: NT Hash (actually MD4)
It is about NTLM.
The NTLM development is still up. It's the one I posted the screenshot.
I was doing the LM version in paralel, since you mentioned about it on your answer. But then I realised that it doesn't make sense to invest the time and specially the resources.

Re: Request: NT Hash (actually MD4)
I can't promise I will make the binary public right away since I first have to talk to Michail about it. Most of the code was written by him and I only did the NTLM section. But just a status update. http://www.usk.bz/cuda/ntlm.jpg Version 0.2 can probably get to 3.8 BHash/s. LM version is almost re...
