Are you still developing the hash cracker?

Do you have an update on this or are you looking for beta testers?

 Well, things are moving around my work slowly  Sometimes I regret that left office and started to work at home
Right now everything is migrated to a dedicated server, I decided to not wait when shared hoster would ask me to quit :-)

hey Bars, i'm always curious about what you are up to ;) would you mind sharing some specs about the upcoming salty cracker software? :)

like:

* how fast is it now that you are cracking multiple hashes?
* will salty cracker clients support multi-gpu?
* will there still be a cpu (sse) only version?
* are you still using hash reversing, or did it make things slower when cracking so many hashes simultaneously?
* any word on when you'll support other algorithms then md5?

Bars. What exactly are you doing now?... Which part (Website, DB, BarsWF, ..)?.. :)
Interested.

Currently it's BarsWF itself, code became quite fragile after massive refactoring and these new libraries to make it cross-platform.

Hmm... Well, that's respectable :P

Maybe a beta/distributed soon?
I think that even with 'only' the 440 000 hashes in queue, it's a considerable
amount (Unless your app requires larger counts)... And could be run tests on :P

Im sure more users will add their hashes when the cracker started.

Actually was just thinking about this. Seems like it is going to be a major draw back that you won't be able to add hashes in once it is started. Who would want to wait weeks to have their hashes cracked? I understand the reason why it is not really possible because everyone is going to get the same set of hashes to crack and each person is going to be doing a different section of the keyspace. But it would be neat if there was a constant progression of users that always start from the beginning of the keyspace so that new hashes could always be added. Then once a hash has cycled through a whole keyspace it is taken out of the hash list and considered not crackable.

Well, no need to wait :-) Anyone would be able to start his task at any time, if he would assign priority higher than priority of current task :-)

Well, last days I am totally in BarsWF, so after I would finish with problems like this http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=109873
We might see something working

After a very long period of broken state, it just found password again on CUDA :-)
Had to apply uncountable workarounds...

Hello,
Looking forward to see this software released.
I've been watching your site for some time now, and I can't wait anymore :)

Do you have an approximate time you expect the project to go live? I see from the first post here, it has been over a year of discussion.
Is it going to be up in days? weeks? months? year? Just curious,
Thanks
