So my gfxcard broke and I had to buy a new one. Bought a Nvidia Asus ENGTX295.

However when I try to use it with this gpucracker it doesnt seem to work :(

Code: Select all

D:\ighashgpu>ighashgpu.exe -t:md5 ighashgpu_unrecovered.txt
****************************************************************

No GPU marked as usable, check out /devicemask switch.

D:\ighashgpu>
I tested BarsWF and it did work, however it uses 100% cpu aswell and that is not something I want it todo. What am I doing wrong Ivan? :/

Fully uninstall ATI driver. Particularly you don't wanna any atical*.dll's at system path.

Ive done that. Booted with safemode, used driver cleaner pro. Checked system32 for ati* none there. Reinstalled nvidia drivers 191.07 but I still have the same problem :(

If ighashgpu reports "Found N CAL device(s)" then CAL .dlls presents somewhere. For 64-bit system check out the /windows/syswow64 path as well or make whole disk search for "aticalrt.dll".

I can't seem to find any documentation on how to use the mask with this software. I see it has masks support via -m: but what are the characters to specify the mask?

I tried a few different things but it always returns an error if I try to supply a mask.

There are some examples on this page - http://golubev.com/files/ighashgpu/readme.htm

Also when selecting the mask it always has to start with -m:???? because you can't specify the first four characters.

Oh I see. You can only specify characters you know, along with their position.

I thought it might be something like this:

-m:????Aaaaaa99

Giving you something like first four unknown, then a capital then lower case followed by two digits. Guess I was mistaken, thanks for the lead.
