lease time on my High-End GPUs cluster for $$
I am willing to sell time on my High-End GPU grid, will there be anyone interested?
Able to do 5,000,000,000 MD5 hashes per second.
You can buy time from 1 min to 10 years ( 24/7 ) for about 20 USD in hour.
You think I will find folks that will be interested?

Re: lease time on my High-End GPUs cluster for $$
What are the cluster specifications in terms of number of GPUs, GPUs per system, system interconnects, etc?
Re: lease time on my High-End GPUs cluster for $$
Don't you mean $20 USD a day. Since it would cost you at most $5 USD a day for power.

It is not an ad, i just have an idea that I whould like to see if folks whould be interested.
Let me rephrase.
If I let people use my machine that can do about 5,000,000,000 MD5 H/s, will I be able to find people that whould be willing to pay to use my CPU+GPU time to do their stuff, like cracking MD5 hashes or LM hashes etc..
IT IS NOT ADVERTISEMENT.

Do you actually have a machine that can do just that then?

Re: lease time on my High-End GPUs cluster for $$
I will in 4 month, I am very good in overclocking, I am running 2.4 Quad qore at 3.6GHz on liquid cooling. Just trying to help people that dont have enough processing power to do their job. It is never enough processing power when it come to bruteforcing MD5.
Ex. With lower and upper case and digits 12 characters long string there are 14000000000000000000000 combinations available. Even doing 5,000,000,000 combinations per second it still going to take a long time, but the more machine you use to break it the faster it will be done. Tharts where I come in.

There are 6bil keys/sec machines available without overclocking.
Overclocking is a serious issue for GPGPU - small errors does not matter in GFX, but screw up everything is GPGPU.

Given we all do some cracking on a super-computing project alá Boinc...
Will this even be necessary... ?

20$/hr is a hell of a price. people could by their own damn machine for that!

Re: lease time on my High-End GPUs cluster for $$
Woah, overclocked GPUs?
Not interested anymore. Not at all.
And at $20/hr, that works out to right around $15000/month. That's a lot of very nice compute hardware.

Re: lease time on my High-End GPUs cluster for $$
OK I was just thinking outloud, I do not know what to charge people when I get ahold of a machine like that.the_drag0n wrote:20$/hr is a hell of a price. people could by their own damn machine for that!
II IS NOT ADVERTISMENT.
I am trying some ideas to see which one will work. I love computers and security topics like hacking ( WHITE HACKING )
but I barely know how to hack, I know basics, so in order to advance forward I whould like to give MD5 community a powerfull tool,
I dont even know how many MD5/second it will be able to do, just trying to see if I should go ahead with my idea or not.
How about 10$ USD per hour, considering that for 128 bit key the keyspace will be 1 following 32 zeros.
Ex. 128 bit key any combination including upper case, lower case, digits and signs ("?~) there are 90 characters.
There are 18,530,201,888,518,410,000,000,000,000,000 posible keys that individual has to go thru
( basically 1 following 32 zeros, a very big key space that one has to go thru )
The more one has machines the faster it will be done. I am about to show you how long it will take if
you can do 5,000,000,000 H/s. It will take 1,000,000,000,000 years to go thru all key space.
As we know it is just out of reach of one person.
Thats where I come in. Offering services for a fee. ( Not yet ) Just thinking about it. trying to get positive feedback
from community. The more computers we use the faster this process goes.
How about 10$ USD per hour, is it better? And all cracked keys will be available for public at all times at no extra charge.
How does that sound?

I doubt guys here willing to buy some supercomputer time would be happy with public keysAnd all cracked keys will be available for public at all times at no extra charge.

I think 20$ is too expensive because your system is to slow
, but 5-10$ seems ok.
a normal gpu:
http://www1.xup.in/exec/ximg.php?fid=14161447
your system:
http://www1.xup.in/exec/ximg.php?fid=19194054
e.g. 76 chars, length 7:
normal gpu can crack it in about 4hrs and your system can crack it in 1hr. A difference of ~3hrs is ok for 5-10$

Re: lease time on my High-End GPUs cluster for $$
I'm pretty sure the price at which people will be interested in your cluster it won't be profitable for you.
$105 for a recertified 9800 GTX+ or $130 for a GTS 250 (same card different name). Prices are from newegg.com.
560 M/s vs 5 B/s
So 14 hours for $10/hr at 5 B/s is 234 trillion passwords (2^47.7).
Or you could buy a GTS 250 and power and it will take about 5 days for the same cost.
Ohh, well there are the people that don't know how to upgrade their computer. Hmm if you're going to build the cluster anyway go for it, but if you're trying to make money it probably won't work. Since there's places like freerainbowtables, cryptohaze, and here which are all going towards or already at a distributed network for cracking.

What I was thinking about making some small $ out of this projects is selling 5-10% of all network time (in return of "free" software), so that one might get 1 hour of 100bil/seconds, and it's unpractical to buy hardware for your own 100bil/sec cluster and use it for few keys you need. Sometimes time does matter.

I will happily build, manage, and power a cluster of as many GPUs as you want, as well as write custom cracking code for you, full time, if money is no object. You may PM me to discuss starting salary.YrFear wrote:Money is of no importance to me, only cracked hashes are

Re: lease time on my High-End GPUs cluster for $$
Excuse me for saying so, but 6 Billion Hashes/sec is a mere bag of f*cking shells to me. My opinion on this matter is that I wouldn't pay 1€/hour for that LOW amount of cracking power. To recover today's serious passwords in a reasonable amount of time, demands much more respect then a mediocre 6-billion. Sorry to burst your "high-speed bubble" like this, but show me something like 1 Trillion pass/sec and I might start to rub my pockets for loose change. Show me 20+ Trillion pass/sec and you've got 20€/hour. Thus far my personal record is hovering in the 16-billion range using Elc*msoft's distributed offering, which means I'm not even using my own electricity, and therefore 0$ for that speed (except for my own boxes locally of course).
The bottom line is almost anyone these days can build cheap supercomputing solutions at home now that "the cat is out of the bag" with this new era of GPU accelerated cracking. 6 billion absolutely does NOT cut it if you wanna profit off this.
p.s. If you could get me time on the Opteron/Tesla S1070 Powered Tsubami supercomputer in Japan, that I would also pay for

Price = 1.5*(hardware amortization+electricity) should be reasonable.
